Introduction
AntiqueAI ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Information We Collect
- Usage Data: Scan and re-evaluation counts stored locally on your device to enforce free tier limits
- Antique Images: Photos you take or select are sent to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on our servers.
- Collection Data: Items you save to your collection (names, categories, notes, photos, authentication results, valuation history) are stored locally on your device only using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you initiate an AI analysis or re-evaluation.
- Subscription Data: Managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. We do not collect or store payment information.
How We Use Your Information
- Processing antique images with AI for identification, authentication, and valuation
- Providing updated valuations when you request a re-evaluation
- Enforcing usage limits (10 free lifetime scans, 2 re-evaluations per item on the free tier)
- Managing subscription status via Apple StoreKit 2
Third-Party Services
- Google Gemini AI: When you scan an antique or request a re-evaluation, your image and/or item details are sent to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. Images are transmitted securely and are not stored permanently.
- Apple StoreKit 2: Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple. See Apple's privacy policy for details.
- Cloudflare: API requests are routed through Cloudflare Workers for security. Cloudflare does not store your image data.
Data Storage
All app data — your collection, scan history, authentication records, valuation history, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not maintain a cloud database of your information. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed.
Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it from within the app or uninstall the app. Images sent for AI analysis are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on external servers.
Your Rights
You can delete your collection items, scan history, and all local data directly from within the app at any time. You can also request information about your data or its deletion by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
AntiqueAI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
