All documents are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have cloud storage or user accounts. Your documents never leave your device unless you explicitly share or export them.
When you tap an AI analysis button, the document's images and text are sent to Google's Gemini AI for processing. The AI generates the analysis and returns it to your device. Google does not store your document content after processing. AI analysis only happens when you explicitly request it — documents are never sent automatically.
Yes! Document scanning, OCR text extraction, PDF export, and sharing all work without AI. The AI tools are optional — just don't tap them if you prefer to keep everything on-device.
Camera access is required for scanning documents. DokMind uses Apple's VisionKit document scanner which provides automatic edge detection and perspective correction. The camera is only active when you're actively scanning — it's never accessed in the background.
When the scanner is open, keep scanning pages one after another. The scanner will capture each page individually. When you've scanned all pages, tap the ✓ checkmark in the upper right corner to finish. All pages will be grouped as a single multi-page document.
Yes! Tap the share icon (↑) on any document, then select "Print" from the share sheet. DokMind exports your document as a high-quality PDF that can be printed on any AirPrint-compatible printer.
A macOS version is planned for the future, which will allow scanning from connected scanners and direct printing from your Mac. Stay tuned for updates.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling DokMind will permanently delete all your scanned documents. We recommend exporting important documents as PDFs before uninstalling.
