Subscription renews automatically. Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
All your writing is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have cloud storage or user accounts. Your writing never leaves your device unless you explicitly share or export it.
When you tap an AI assist button, the text you're working on (and your selected tradition) is sent to Google's Gemini AI for processing. The AI generates the suggestion and returns it to your device. Google does not store your writing after processing. AI assistance only happens when you explicitly request it, and only after you've agreed to the in-app AI consent screen.
Yes! Writing, organizing projects, attaching photos, the calendar, and export all work without AI. The AI tools are optional — decline the consent screen or simply don't tap them if you prefer to keep everything on-device.
Faithpen supports Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox traditions, each with its own set of writing types (homilies, Lectio Divina, sermons, devotionals, Bible studies, patristic reflections, and more). You can change your tradition in Settings at any time.
Photo access is only requested when you choose to attach an image to a writing entry. Faithpen uses Apple's standard photo picker and only accesses the photos you select — it never scans your library or accesses photos in the background.
Cancel anytime through your iPhone's Settings:
You'll retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling Faithpen will permanently delete all your writing. We recommend exporting important pieces before uninstalling.
