CareerMynd is a native job-application pipeline tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The core loop:
The differentiator: CareerMynd is native premium across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Job applications get filed on a real keyboard; CareerMynd is the only job-tracker in the App Store with a native Mac companion that syncs with the iPhone version through your private iCloud account.
The home tab. See every application as a row in your pipeline, color-coded by status. Search, filter by status, and use the “What’s Pressing Today” banner at the top to surface follow-ups that are overdue, interviews that are coming up tomorrow, and offers awaiting your decision.
A grouped, visual view of every company you’ve applied to. Each company shows a color-coded card with role count, most recent status, and last contact date. Tap any company to see all applications at that company in one place.
Your job-hunt analytics. Free tier shows your top stat strip, funnel chart, response rate, and time-in-stage averages. Pro unlocks weekly trend lines, source-effectiveness analysis (LinkedIn vs Referral vs Cold-email response rates), active-vs-closed funnel comparison, and historical view filtering.
Each application has a list of interviews. Set the date, type (Phone Screen / Technical / Behavioral / Panel / Final / Onsite / Cultural), format (Video / In-person / Phone), interviewer names, and your notes. Tap “Add to Calendar” to push the interview into your Calendar via the system add-event sheet.
From the application detail screen, tap Generate Follow-Up. Pick a tone (Polite / Direct / Warm / Reserved) and a context (Just applied / No response / Pre-interview thank-you / Post-interview thank-you / Offer-pending nudge). The AI returns a subject line and body referencing the role and your timeline. Edit it, copy to clipboard, save it, or discard. Discarding doesn’t use up one of your free follow-ups — only Save does.
Tap Interview Prep. Pick the round you’re prepping for. The AI returns 8–12 likely questions with what the interviewer is really asking, plus a model-answer scaffold for each one that draws on your résumé. Markdown-formatted for easy review. If a key requirement in the JD isn’t supported by your résumé, the AI flags it as a gap to address.
When an offer comes in, tap Negotiation Prep. The AI returns talking points organized into Market context, Levers, Suggested asks, Phrasing examples, Walk-away considerations, and Above-the-line ask — tailored to the role, your last salary, and your target city. Practice material for the call, not a script.
Run multiple pipelines in parallel: Senior IC roles, Manager track, Founding eng, etc. Switch between them at the top of the Pipeline tab. Free tier gets one default pipeline that can’t be deleted.
Export your full pipeline to a .csv file for use in Excel, Google Sheets, or your own analysis. Available from the Settings tab on every platform.
Your applications, interviews, notes, follow-up emails, interview prep, negotiation prep, and résumé all sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac via your private iCloud account. No extra accounts to make, nothing on a server we operate — Apple encrypts your data at rest under your own Apple ID.
Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Yes. Every application, interview, note, follow-up email, interview prep packet, negotiation prep packet, and résumé is stored on your device using Apple’s SwiftData and synced through your own private iCloud account. We do not have a server-side database. The only time data leaves your device’s private storage is (a) iCloud sync to your other devices, encrypted by Apple, and (b) the specific text you choose to send when you tap a Generate button on an AI feature, which goes to Google’s Gemini AI to produce the response.
It does NOT receive your name, email, location, interviewer names, or any other personal information. Data from applications you have not selected is never sent.
Yes. You can decline AI consent during setup or toggle it off later in Settings, in which case the three AI generators are unavailable. You can still track applications, log interviews, take notes, browse the Companies and Insights tabs, sync via iCloud, and use everything else.
The free tier is meant for evaluating the AI’s quality — not for using it across an entire job search. Three follow-up emails and one interview prep is enough to see what CareerMynd can do, decide whether the output is worth paying for, and convert to Pro if it is. Pro users get unlimited AI on every tier.
No. CareerMynd uses your private CloudKit database, which is free for everyone with an Apple ID. The storage is part of your existing iCloud quota. CareerMynd uses very little space — an average pipeline of ~100 applications takes well under 1 MB.
CareerMynd works in local-only mode. All features are available except cross-device sync. Your data stays on the device you’re using. A small banner at the top of the Pipeline tab will let you know you’re running in local-only mode and offer a link to sign into iCloud if you’d like to enable sync.
Open CareerMynd, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. If you already have an active subscription on the same Apple ID, the App will recognize it.
Only for the AI features and iCloud sync. All other features — viewing your pipeline, adding and editing applications, logging interviews, taking notes, browsing Companies and Insights tabs, exporting CSV (Pro), and Settings — work completely offline.
You can paste it as text or import a PDF, RTF, or TXT file on any platform (iPhone, iPad, Mac). The first time you launch CareerMynd you’ll be prompted to add a résumé; you can also add or update it any time in Settings → Profile → Import résumé from file. The résumé is stored in your private iCloud and syncs across your devices.
Yes. Every AI result screen is editable. You can rewrite the subject line, edit the body, copy the result to your clipboard, save it to the application, or discard it. The free-tier counter only ticks down when you tap Save — not when you tap Discard.
The local copy of your data on that device is removed. Your iCloud copy remains, so re-installing the App on a device signed into the same iCloud will restore your data. To permanently delete your iCloud data, go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → CareerMynd.
Open the application detail view, then tap the Emails tab to see saved follow-up emails for that application. Saved interview prep and negotiation prep packets are accessible from the same application’s history.
CareerMynd is a job-search organization and drafting tool, not a legal, HR, financial, or career-counseling service. AI-generated follow-up emails, interview questions, model answer scaffolds, and negotiation talking points are best-effort outputs and may contain inaccuracies or suggestions that are not appropriate for your specific situation. Always review every generated email before sending. Treat AI prep as study material, not as a script. Verify compensation suggestions against sources you trust before negotiating. For employment-law questions, consult a qualified attorney.
